For this year's July 4th I decided to attend the Battle Creek Field of Flight Air Show. I was really excited to be attending this year, as ever since I was a kid I've had a love for aircraft and had even considered military service with the hopes of pilot school. My father used to take me to air shows when I was a kid and I remember not only being in awe of these machines, but terrified when he set me on the exhaust of one.
The wife was on-board with attending the show this year, so I knew I wanted to take the opportunity to photograph some of the events. While the early aerial acrobatics displays and jet powered busses were interesting, in my mind they were warm-ups for the USAF Air Force Thunderbirds. The full set of my photographs are available on my Flickr page. However, here are some of my favorite photos from the show—enjoy!
